Hello, my name is Emilee Joie Grochowski. I am currently in my last year at CSU Channel Islands studying Performing Arts: Dance as well as Psychology. I am currently pursuing a career in musical theatre and plan on focusing towards a goal of professional theatre when I graduate in Spring 2017.
Although my current emphasis is dance, I also have experience in other art forms including singing, acting, as well as technical work such as choreography, properties, advertisement, and assistant stage management.
Recently, I have had work both on stage as well as behind the scenes. I just finished the production of “The Thief, The Madman, Quixote, and The Magic Doors,” at CSU Channel Islands where I played the strong, emotional character Dorotea. This past summer, I interned for Cabrillo Music Theatre for their production of “The Little Mermaid” where I worked hand in hand with choreographer Heather Castillo, as well as the cast and crew. More recent works include, “Nine” at CSP (directed by Ken Patton) and “The Drowsy Chaperone” at CSP (directed by Dean Johnson). Other works include ensemble work in Damn Yankees and Arts Under The Stars at CSUCI.
