In dance, our bodies create shapes of all variations. For pure experimental purposes, we created dances revolving not only around the idea of shapes, but with a limitation to increase inorganic shapes we might not usually create.
For my first piece, I chose to create a dance around the idea of having no arms. This forced me to use different muscles in my body to create choreography.
Later for our showcase, my partner, Xavier Armstrong, and I decided to use the idea of not being able to use our arms as well as being attached to a box with at least one part of our body the entire time. Here is a short clip.
